Working Session

Partnership for Climate Change and its Financing

  • 2:30 PM- 4:00 PM
  • Venue: Carnival, BICC
  • Chair: H.E. Md. Shahab Uddin
  • Keynote Presenter: Ziaul Hasan, ndc

Session Concept:

Given its unique geographic, socioeconomic, and physical characteristics, the impacts of climate change such as extreme weather events, flooding, heat and sea-level rise threaten the security of millions of Bangladeshis and pose major challenges to the country’s sustainable development. Though Bangladesh received global appreciation for its remarkable progress in climate resilient initiatives, the scanty resource base is limiting adequate drive for adapting and mitigating climate change. The discussion will center how an effective partnership can be built with the DPs, private sector for sourcing financing to manage the climate change.
